Settler focus moves to West Bank
Israeli troops are preparing to enter two Jewish settlements in the West Bank as they carry out the final evacuations under the government's withdrawal plan.
About 2,000 heavily armed settlers and activists are defying the order to leave and it is feared they could put up some of the fiercest resistance yet.
The Gaza Strip has already been cleared of its 8,500 Jews, who had been living in 21 settlements, army officials said.
It is the first time Israel has voluntarily left land captured in 1967.
