17 Africans perish in Paris Fire (story)

PARIS — Seventeen people, including many children, died and about 30 were injured when a blaze ripped through a dilapidated apartment building in Paris occupied by African immigrant families, the fire service said Friday morning.

In a provisional toll released at 5 a.m., it said at least 17 died in the inferno which swept up the stairwell of the building in the 13th district of the French capital.

Why is the picture choice a disgrace? because you are narrowminded and make everything about the ethnicity / color of individuals? I don't see any sympathy for the lives lost in that blaze. Have we all become cold and heartless? Next time your family or friends are injured or killed, it might come as a suprise that nobody sends you any condolences or shows sympathy.

Anonymous, I will not waste my time fanning the flame of your stupidity by answering your question.

do you honestly think that that man helping those people thought about being the savior to those people? i think not. I think he went in there to assist without thinking about color or hoping that his picture would be plastered all over the world.
